CranioSacral Therapy

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, non-invasive, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the function of the craniosacral system, the environment in which the brain, spinal cord and central nervous system function. Problems with this system can cause difficulties and discomfort in many areas throughout the body.
How does CST work?
During a CST session, Holly identifies and evaluates restrictions in the client’s body. Then she assists the client in removing obstacles that the body’s normal self-correcting mechanism has been unable to overcome. Gentle pressure, frequently only five grams (the weight of a nickel), patiently coaxes the body to relinquish the restriction. In this process, Holly actually assists the client’s craniosacral system with its own self-correcting activities. In many cases, this quickly leads to an improvement in the functioning of the various physiological systems, reducing symptoms and improving the body’s internal environment.
What other body systems are involved?
CST also addresses restrictions in connective tissue (fascia), the continuous web-like bodystocking that surrounds and supports all your muscles and organs. Thus, CST is a hands-on, full-body therapy, using light touch to address restrictions and problems throughout all the systems of the body.
